One Thing

One Thing 2011 Conference in Kansas City Missouri USA

This year’s young adult conference drew a crowd of about 25,000 to Kansas City Missouri to do One Thing…to gaze on the beauty of the Lord.   This year’s theme focused on Jesus as our Magnificent Obsession.   It was so refreshing to just praise Him and bask in the knowledge that He knows each one of us personally from the time He knit us in our mother’s womb to knowing and searching our hearts every day.  He longs to be with us and to hear our voice and he loves to love us if we only let Him.

In the busy life of work, raising families and just all the distractions and things that can become idols especially in a wealthy hedonistic society (money, entertainment, sports, never ending electronic and social media, etc) we have forgotten the One Thing.  King David said,

“… this ONLY do I seek; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” [Psalm 27:4]

The more I seek Him and the more I realize His father’s heart toward me, the more I fall in love with Him even more and need Him even more…

Thank God for all those that stood up at One Thing and consecrated themselves to seeking Him instead of the worldly pleasures.  I pray they remember this week and put on the armor to deflect “all” the arrows of the evil one.

Where did Steve Anzelc go??

To many it probably seems I dropped off the planet.   Six months ago, I was managing large design-build aerospace manufacturing projects.  However, God was working on my heart strongly over the past few years and finally I have stepped out in faith to step into His purposes that He has trained me for.

It is extremely exciting to enter this season training as an intercessory missionary at the International House of Prayer IHOP.org (don’t confuse with the pancake house LOL )

  •     IHOP is a bible believing organization training up and equipping followers of Jesus as forerunners
  •     Preparing themselves and others for the days of Jesus’ return and the salvation of Israel.
  •     IHOP provides 24/7/365 prayer and worship combined with acts of justice.

God’s call to me is to love Him first, but also has laid on my heart a calling for the persecuted church especially in India and the Middle East and for freedom for those trapped in human sexual trafficking.  I would like to share more with you about how God is using me in these areas.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you.   Warm regards,  Steve Anzelc
