I knew what I was getting into

When I quit my job to follow God full time, it didn’t take long for the worry and anxiety to set in.  You see, I quit a really good job from a world perspective. I was managing teams of engineers architects and construction for the Joint Strike Fighter F-35 jet facilities in Dallas Ft Worth and the work was steady, fun most of the time, the people were awesome and the pay was good.
But for my last 3 days of cleaning out my office and handing over my duties to others, I went to bed wondering did I do the right thing. But for those 3 days God did something weird to reassure me that I was called and that everything was going to be all right.  When I woke up I was singing a song in my head that I couldn’t quite place.
…everything is in my hands.
It’s going to be alright.
It’s going to be Okay
I searched the internet as I had the tune in my head and some of the words but to no avail.  On the last day of work, I was driving from Kansas City to Lees Summit my home and was having an internal  discussion with God about going to the prayer room but I told Him I had too much to do and was going to head home. Before you knew it, I had apparently gone south on I-71 instead of going east on I-470 like every other day in my life.
It seemed like a pretty good sign that God wanted me in the prayer room right then.  🙂 What happened next has forever changed me to be really in tune to his voice.  I went in to the prayer room (IHOP.org)  and
Misty Edwards was playing the song that HE kept waking me to.
After that time for the whole first track of the internship at IHOP, I felt a lot of peace in the decision and knew that He was with me in this decision.  Even wilder, is that as we had a short break between Track I and II, I started questioning whether I should be in Track II or working or going into the wilderness and within moments of telling my friend Keith I wasn’t sure I should still be here at IHOP, the same song came on in the background and once again, I am all in again because I know I am listening again.
I also just thought about the fact that he did this over a 3 day period, like burying me from the past ways and awakening to the new things HE has for me.  Thank you Lord for speaking to me and choosing me even in my weakness and sin. Your servant, Steven
Song by MISTY EDWARDS – I knew what I was getting into oracle
I knew what I was getting into when called you.
I knew what I was getting into when I said your name, but I said it just the same.
I knew what I was getting into and I still want you.
I knew what I was getting into.I knew what I was getting into and I still chose you.
I knew what I was getting into and I still want you.
I knew what I was getting into when I said your name, but I said it just the same.
I knew what I was getting into.

And I am not shocked by your weakness.
And I am not shocked even by your sin.
And I am not shocked by your brokenness.

I knew what I was getting into and I still want you.
I knew what I was getting into and I still like you.
I knew what I was getting into and I still chose you.

Cuz only I can see the end from the beginning.
And only I can see where this is going.
And only I can see the end from the beginning.
And I see in you the seeds of love.
And I see in you strength when all you see is your failure and all you feel is ashamed.
I can see deeper than that.
I know you better than that.

I knew what I was getting into when called you.
I knew what I was getting into when I said your name.
I said it just the same.
I knew what getting into and I still want you.
I knew what I was getting into and I still like you.

Your only at the beginning.
You’ve only just begun and I know where you are going
And all you can see in the moment is that your hurting.
And all you can see in the moment is that your aching.

I knew what I was getting into when I called you.
I knew what I was getting into and I still want you.
I knew what I was getting into and I still like you.
I knew what I was getting into when I called you.

Just don’t give up.
And don’t give in.
If you don’t quit. You win, you win.

Just don’t give up.
And don’t give in.
If you don’t quit. You win, you win.

Everything is in my hands.
It’s going to be alright.
Everything is in my hands.
It’s going to be alright.
It’s going to be okay.
Everything is in my hands.
It’s going to be alright.
It’s going to be Okay.
And you don’t have to pretend to be something or someone your not.
Cuz I know you better than that, even better, even better than that.
Listen my Beloved.

I knew what I was getting into when I called you.
I knew what I was getting into when I said your name.
I said it just the same.
I knew what I was getting into and I still like you.
I knew what I was getting into and I still chose you.

Called Chose Faithful

One of the biggest changes in my life this year is the revealing of Jesus to me through the Holy Spirit, through praying and worshipping him, from others and through the Word.

The Book of Revelation in the Bible used to be just one of those books that my  past churches might touch every 10 years or so or never but I no longer see it as just a weird symbolic apocalyptic book but actually for what it is, the “Revelation of Jesus” as revealed by Jesus ( through an angel to John and now to those that are willing to spend time in it and with Him to have it revealed).     It is amazing how much is really in this book and how important its message will be as I believe we are in the beginning of the birth pangs of the end of the age.

Jesus is the sacrificial lamb that died for all of us to be saved.  He is the only one worthy to open the seals on God’s final battle plan.   [From Bible Book of Revelation Chp 17:14 ]: “They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings-and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers.”

That sums up that nations and kings will rise up against Israel and Jesus in the end of the age but that Jesus will come through victorious.   Also, he will reign over all and my best part that with Him, will be His called, chosen and faithful followers.  I pray that God will keep me faithful to follow my calling from God and that I will bold to say “yes, He is coming soon” even when scoffers think we make no sense at all.

[From Bible, Book of Revelation 7:9] “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation and tribe, people and languages, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice:  Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

The angels, elders and living creatures in heaven were praising God and one of the elders asked who are these multitude in white robes and where did they come and He answered that they knew, they were those Christians persecuted here on earth, those coming out of the great tribulation they have washed their robes in the blood of the lamb.   The discussion in the new testament about no more tears is for the saints willing to lay down their lives for Him.  They will be with Him when He comes down and brings heaven down to earth.

LORD KEEP ME FAITHFUL.  KEEP ME PRAYING FOR MY PERSECUTED BROTHERS & SISTERS IN JESUS. KEEP THE ONE THING THE ONE THING…YOU GOD.  Thank you God.

Your servant Steven
